Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 04/24/2026

Last Updated: 05/22/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Alme LLC collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use alme, an AI powered image and video generation and editing app.

1. Who We Are

App Name: alme

Company: Alme LLC

Support Email: support@alme.life

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through alme, related websites or services that link to this Privacy Policy, and support communications.

alme is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or use the app. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may suspend or delete the account and associated data.

3. What alme Does

alme is an AI powered image and video generation and editing app. Users may upload photos and other images from their device, take new photos in the app, create a saved face profile using three face profile photos from different angles, use templates to generate or transform images and videos, animate images, create and share image and video community templates with other users, perform face swaps, edit existing images, try on rings virtually using hand and ring reference images, purchase Video Credit packages to generate videos, download generated content, and share content outside the app.

4. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use alme:

4.1 Account and Profile Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect your name, username, email address, phone number, password, and sign in information associated with Apple Sign In or Google Sign In.

4.2 User Content

We collect content that users choose to upload, create, or submit through the app. This may include face profile photos, selfies, portraits, full body photos, hand photos, ring reference images, swap images, images submitted for editing or transformation, prompts, generated images, generated videos and animations, and image and video community templates that users create and share with other users. Users may upload images containing themselves or other visual content for use with templates, animations, transformations, edits, and other app features.

4.3 Device and Technical Information

We may collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostic data, and usage history or app interaction data.

4.4 Support and Communication Information

If you contact us, we may collect support messages, email correspondence, and any information you choose to provide in those communications.

4.5 Permissions and Access

If you grant permission, we may access features on your device such as the camera and photo library or camera roll.

4.6 Public Profile Information

If you choose to enable a public profile, we collect and display your display name, bio text, and profile avatar. This information is visible to other users of alme. We also collect aggregate statistics about your templates (such as usage counts and favorites received) which may be displayed on your profile. Follow relationships (who you follow and who follows you) are stored to enable social features. Deactivating your profile hides this data from public view but retains it server-side until you delete your account.

4.7 Creator Program Information

If you participate in the Alme Creator Program, we collect additional information needed to verify your eligibility, issue payouts, and meet tax-reporting obligations. This includes your legal name, date of birth, country of residence and residential address, and tax-residency status. We collect a U.S. Social Security Number or ITIN from U.S. Creators (for Form W-9) and a foreign tax identification number from non-U.S. Creators (for Form W-8BEN) — for example, a CPF in Brazil or a PAN in India. We also collect the bank-account or payout-instrument details required to deliver your payouts via Wise (or an equivalent international transfer service). Only the last four digits of a tax identification number are retained in plaintext after the corresponding tax form has been generated; full numbers are rendered into the tax form and discarded.

5. Face Profile Photos and Related Data

Certain personalized features require users to create a face profile. In this Privacy Policy, "reference photos" and "face profile photos" mean the same thing. To create a face profile, users submit three face photos taken from different angles, typically one front view and two side angle views.

We use these photos, and in some cases related reference data derived from them, only to generate and edit personalized images and videos requested by the user. This includes using your face profile to generate a character that appears in videos you create with alme.

5.1 How Your Face Data Is Processed

To generate images and videos that feature your likeness, we transmit your face profile photos and related reference data to trusted AI infrastructure and model providers that run generative image and video models on our behalf. These include, for example:

  • Atlas Cloud (United States), which hosts and runs video generation models (such as Seedance) used to create videos from your face profile.
  • Google (Gemini API) and OpenAI, which run image generation and enhancement models that may process your face profile to create personalized images.
  • Replicate, which runs face swap and related image processing models.

Each provider has its own privacy policy and data-handling practices, which govern how they process the data we send. We send only the data needed to complete your requested generation. alme itself does not use your face profile photos to train AI models, and we do not sell face data. You can delete your face profile in alme at any time, which stops further use of your face data for new generations.

5.2 Your photos, your control

Used for your requested features only. Your face profile photos are used only to create and improve the images and edits you request.

No selling. We do not sell your face data.

No model training on your face profile photos. We do not use your face profile photos to train our AI models.

Limited sharing. We share face profile photos and related processing data only with service providers that help us operate image generation, editing, hosting, authentication, security, and payment services.

Stored securely. Your photos are encrypted in transit and at rest.

You stay in control. You can view, replace, or delete your saved face profile photos and related data at any time inside the app.

6. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to provide, operate, maintain, and improve alme; create and manage accounts; authenticate users; process subscriptions and in-app purchases (including Video Credit packages) through Apple and Google; generate, edit, animate, transform, and personalize images and videos at your request; create and maintain saved face profile functionality; provide ring try on and related image features; store and display your content based on your account tier; respond to support requests; monitor performance; fix bugs; diagnose crashes; detect suspicious activity, abuse, fraud, misuse, or policy violations; review content where needed to investigate suspected violations or protect the platform; enforce our Terms and policies; and comply with legal obligations.

For participants in the Alme Creator Program, we use Creator Program Information (described in Section 4.7) to verify eligibility, calculate and deliver monthly payouts, generate and file required tax forms (such as IRS Form 1099-NEC for U.S. Creators and Form W-8BEN certifications from non-U.S. Creators), perform sanctions and anti-fraud screening, and respond to tax-authority inquiries.

We also process information to operate the Video Credits and creator rewards systems. This includes maintaining a ledger of credit purchases, spends, refunds, and creator rewards tied to your account; applying the alme Pro discount to credits spent on video generation and video template use; attributing successful generations to the creators of shared templates so creator rewards can be issued; and detecting and preventing fraud or abuse of the credits and rewards systems, such as self-use, circular use between related accounts, or artificial inflation of creator rewards.

When users submit community templates for sharing with other users, we may collect, store, process, display, and distribute those templates and associated metadata, including any facial likeness included in the template, to make the template available to other users and to perform content moderation.

We may also use user feedback, and content that users choose to share within the platform, to evaluate output quality, improve user experience, and handle abuse. We do not use face profile photos to train our AI models.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:

7.1 Service Providers and Sub-Processors

We share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate alme. These service providers may access personal information only as needed to perform services for us, are subject to contractual restrictions, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Our current key sub-processors include:

  • Atlas Cloud (United States) — hosts and runs video generation models (such as Seedance). Processes face profile photos and reference data to generate videos you request.
  • Google — Gemini API (United States) — AI image generation and enhancement.
  • OpenAI (United States) — AI image generation and enhancement.
  • Replicate (United States) — face swap and related image processing.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) (United States) — cloud hosting, image and video storage (S3, CloudFront), and message queuing.
  • Firebase (Google) (United States) — authentication.
  • RevenueCat (United States) — subscription management.
  • Apple and Google — in-app purchases and payment processing.
  • Wise (or equivalent international transfer service) — used solely for Alme Creator Program participants to deliver monthly payouts. Receives the Creator's legal name, country of residence, payout-instrument details (such as bank account or supported wallet), and the payment amount.

Each provider has its own privacy policy and data-handling practices, which govern how they process the data we send them. This list may change as we add, replace, or remove providers, and we will update this Privacy Policy when material changes occur.

7.2 Legal Compliance and Protection

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce our Terms or policies; protect the rights, safety, security, and property of users, Alme LLC, or others; or detect, investigate, or address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

7.3 Business Transfers

If Alme LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

7.4 With Your Direction

We may share information when you direct us to do so, such as when you choose to download and share generated images or videos outside the app, or when you submit an image or video community template to be shared with other users of the platform. When you share a community template, the template and any likeness or content it contains will be visible to and usable by other alme users.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for different periods depending on the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected.

8.1 Face Profile Photos

We retain face profile photos in alme's systems for up to 6 months, unless you delete them earlier. When your face profile is sent to a third-party AI provider (for example, Atlas Cloud, Google, or OpenAI) to generate a requested image or video, that provider's own retention and deletion practices govern the copy they process.

8.2 Uploaded Images

We retain uploaded images for up to 24 hours, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to complete your request or maintain service integrity.

8.3 Generated Images and Videos

For free users, we retain generated images, videos, and animations for up to 7 days. For paid users, we retain generated images, videos, and animations for up to 90 days.

8.4 Community Templates

Image and video community templates that you share with other users are retained for as long as the template remains published or until you remove it. If you delete your account, your community templates will be removed in accordance with our data deletion policies.

8.5 Prompts

We retain prompts for the same period as the related generated or processed images.

8.6 Account Information

We retain account data until you delete your account, unless a longer retention period is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or contractual enforcement.

8.7 Logs and Analytics

We generally retain logs, diagnostics, and analytics data for 6 to 12 months. Where feasible, this information is aggregated or de identified.

8.8 Backups

Backups may be retained for up to 30 days before being overwritten or deleted.

8.9 Creator Program Tax and Payout Records

Tax-form records (W-9, W-8BEN, 1099-NEC) and payout ledgers associated with the Alme Creator Program are retained for at least seven (7) years after the end of the calendar year to which they relate, to comply with U.S. tax-recordkeeping requirements and equivalent obligations in other jurisdictions. This retention period applies regardless of whether the Creator has deleted their account, and supersedes the shorter retention windows in Sections 8.1–8.8 with respect to Creator Program Information described in Section 4.7.

8.10 Support Communications

We may retain support emails and support records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain records, resolve disputes, improve support quality, and comply with legal obligations.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may delete your account and associated data directly inside the app.

When you delete your saved references, generated content, or account, we will delete the relevant data from our active systems in accordance with our retention practices. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or technical logs for a limited time before deletion is completed.

10. Content Review, Safety, and Abuse Prevention

We use automated systems to identify suspicious behavior, potential abuse, fraud, and policy violations. If those systems indicate a likely violation, authorized personnel may review relevant account information, prompts, or images as reasonably necessary to investigate, enforce our policies, and protect users and the platform.

Community templates submitted for sharing with other users are subject to limited content moderation before they are made available. This moderation is designed to screen for clearly inappropriate content such as strong violence, nudity, and gore. However, this review is limited moderation only. It is not a legal review, rights clearance, authenticity verification, or a guarantee that the template is lawful, noninfringing, safe, or suitable for any particular use. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their community templates comply with all applicable laws and do not violate the rights of others.

We may restrict or remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts for violations of our rules or misuse of the service.

11. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions and in-app purchases, including consumable Video Credit packages (Spark, Bolt, and Thunder), are processed through Apple and Google. We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple or Google. We may receive limited transaction information, such as subscription status, purchase confirmation, credit package purchased, and related identifiers, as needed to provide paid features, credit your Video Credit balance, manage billing status, and handle support.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. This includes encryption in transit and at rest for stored photos and reasonable access controls intended to limit access to authorized personnel and service providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Users

alme is offered to users in the United States, Latin America, and parts of Asia. By using alme, you understand that your information may be collected, stored, processed, and transferred to the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.

In particular, face profile photos and related reference data used for video generation are processed on infrastructure located in the United States (Atlas Cloud and other US based providers). If you use alme from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States for these features.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or retain; request access to your personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; request deletion of personal information; request a copy of certain personal information; appeal a denied privacy request where applicable; and not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

To exercise privacy rights, contact us at support@alme.life. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

14.1 California Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy law, including rights to know, delete, correct, and receive information about how your personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and retained. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising as those terms are used under California law.

15. Sensitive and Face Related Data

Because alme processes face profile photos and related personalization data, we treat that information with heightened care.

We process face profile photos only to provide the features you request, such as generating or editing personalized images and creating videos that feature your likeness. This includes transmitting your face profile photos and derived reference data to trusted third-party AI infrastructure and model providers (such as Atlas Cloud, Google, and OpenAI) so they can complete your requested generation. Each provider is governed by its own privacy policy and data-handling practices, which you should review. alme does not use face profile photos to train AI models, and alme does not sell face data. We require your explicit consent inside the app before collecting and processing face profile photos for these features.

If applicable law requires additional notices, consent mechanisms, retention limits, or deletion rules for face related or biometric data, we will comply with those requirements.

16. Children's Privacy

alme is not directed to children and is not available to users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that someone under 18 has provided personal information to us, we may delete the information and terminate the account.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy and update the Effective Date above. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.

18. Contact Us
