Frequently Asked Questions
This document answers common questions about alme's image generation, editing, face profile, subscriptions, account controls, and privacy related features.
What is alme?
alme is an AI image and video generation and editing app that lets you upload photos, use templates, create transformed images, animate images into short videos, edit existing images, and create personalized results using your own pictures.
How does the face profile work?
The face profile uses three photos of your face taken from different angles, usually one front photo and two side angle photos. These photos help alme create more consistent and personalized image generations and edits.
Do I have to create a face profile to use alme?
No. Some features may work without a face profile, but certain personalized generation and editing tools work better when you create one.
What kinds of images can I upload?
You can upload many different kinds of images, including selfies, portraits, full body photos, hand photos, and other images you want to edit, transform, swap, or use with templates.
What can I do with uploaded photos?
You can use uploaded photos for features such as face swaps, image edits, transformations, template based generations, ring try on, and other creative image tools available in the app.
Do you sell my photos or face data?
No. alme does not sell your face data.
Do you use my face profile photos to train AI models?
No. alme does not use your face profile photos to train AI models.
Who can access my photos?
Your photos may be processed by alme and trusted service providers that help operate hosting, image generation, authentication, payments, security, and related app functions. Access is limited to what is reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security, and enforce platform rules.
How is my face used to create videos?
When you generate a video in alme, we use your face profile photos to create a character that appears in the video you requested. To do this, we send your face profile photos and related reference data to a third-party AI provider (for example, Atlas Cloud, which runs video generation models such as Seedance) that runs the generation on our behalf. The provider is governed by its own privacy policy and data-handling practices, which describe how it retains and deletes that data. alme itself does not use your face data to train AI models and does not sell face data.
Which companies process my face data?
To generate images and videos from your face profile, we use trusted AI infrastructure and model providers, including Atlas Cloud (United States, which hosts video generation models such as Seedance), Google (Gemini API), OpenAI, and Replicate. We also use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting and storage and Firebase (Google) for authentication. Each provider has its own privacy policy and data-handling practices, which govern how they process the data we send. alme itself does not use your face data to train AI models. A full list is available in our Privacy Policy.
Are my photos stored securely?
We use safeguards designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest for stored photos.
How long do you keep my photos and images?
Face profile photos are generally kept for up to 6 months unless you delete them earlier. Uploaded images are generally kept for up to 24 hours. Generated images are generally stored for up to 7 days for free users and up to 90 days for paid users.
Can I delete my photos or account?
Yes. You can delete your content and your account from inside the app. Some limited backup copies may remain briefly during normal system backup cycles.
Can I share images I create in alme?
Yes. You can download your images and share them wherever you want. You can also create and share templates with other alme users so they can use your templates to generate their own images. But you are responsible for what you create, upload, and share, including any community templates you publish.
What are community templates?
Community templates are image or video templates that users create using their own face and share with other alme users. Once shared, other users can use your template to generate their own images or videos.
Does alme review community templates before they go live?
We perform limited content moderation to screen for clearly inappropriate content such as strong violence, nudity, and gore. However, this review is not a legal review, rights clearance, authenticity verification, or a guarantee that the template is lawful, noninfringing, or safe. You are responsible for making sure your templates do not violate the rights of others or any applicable laws.
Can I remove a community template I shared?
Yes. You can remove a community template at any time through the app. Once removed, new users will no longer be able to access it, but images already generated by other users before removal may still exist.
Who is responsible for the content in a community template?
You are. By sharing a community template, you represent that you have all necessary rights, consents, and permissions for the content it contains, including any likeness. Alme LLC does not guarantee that any community template is lawful, noninfringing, or suitable for commercial use.
What content is not allowed?
You may not use alme to create, upload, or share content that includes pornography, explicit sexual content, gore, violent graphic content, harassment, hateful content, unlawful material, or content that violates another person's rights.

Can alme remove content or suspend accounts?
Yes. If content or activity appears to violate our rules, applicable law, or the rights of others, we may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access.
Are subscriptions and in-app purchases managed in the app?
Subscriptions and in-app purchases, including Video Credit packages (Spark, Bolt, and Thunder), are purchased and governed through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID account.
Can I create videos in alme?
Yes. You can animate images and generate short videos from templates. Creating a video requires Video Credits.
What are Video Credits and what packages do you offer?
Video Credits are used to generate videos in alme and to use other users' video templates. We currently offer three Video Credit packages through the Apple App Store: Spark (300 credits), Bolt (1,100 credits), and Thunder (2,250 credits). Package names, amounts, and prices are shown in the app and may change from time to time.
Do alme Pro subscribers get a discount on Video Credits?
Yes. Active alme Pro subscribers receive a 20% discount on Video Credits spent to generate videos and to use other users' video templates. The discount is applied automatically when credits are spent, not at purchase, and applies only while your alme Pro subscription is active.
Can I earn credits by sharing my templates?
Yes. When another user successfully generates content from a template you have published, you earn a small amount of credits as a creator reward. Rewards are only issued for successful generations and may vary by template type, region, and promotion.
What happens if a video generation fails or the user cancels it?
If a video generation fails due to a technical error on our side or is cancelled before it completes, we generally return the spent credits to the user's balance, and no creator reward is issued to the template creator for that generation. Credits may not be refunded if the generation failed due to content policy violations or abuse.

Video Credit purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made to Apple directly through the App Store or Apple Support in accordance with Apple's refund policies. Alme LLC cannot process refunds for App Store purchases.
